powerbi - OData metadata error with Microsoft Fabric import but it imports fine into excel - Stack Overflow

Working with my Filemaker programmer we keep running into this error

Failed to create odata connection to RequestUrl. The metadata document could not be read from the message content. UnexpectedXmlElement : The schema element 'Annotation' was not expected in the given context. : (1, 236) UnexpectedXmlElement : The schema element 'Annotation' was not expected in the given context. : (1, 300)

We can't get to a point to select a table due to this error. We can import everything into excel and it opens up just fine. Same with PowerBI Desktop but it will not upload to Fabric to be stored in a Lakehouse.

any ideas?

We have tried changing field types, number types, decimals to whole numbers of it calls for it, and making sure text fields are correct. We aren't even sure how to access the metadata to try to change it. We removed anything that might be a forbidden character and went about only using one table at a time.
