We currently have dataflow/skipper setup to manage streams in our environment deployed in kubernetes.
When making a deployment change, the next deployment / statefulset appends the incremented version number.
So if deployment name generated is streamname+appname+_v1 or _v2 etc.
My question is, can we add a property that would suppress this number from deployment/statefulset names.
Need for this ask is to address this scenario. We have a shared volume mount that will be added into these deployments to ensure that apps can use a common local share for our rocksdb temp storage used by kafka streams.
we have a statefulset, which creates a PVC/PV which has the statefulset name with version number in it. SO everytime a new deployment is done, rocksdb tempstore needs to be fully downloaded rather than use the prior cache from earlier deploy.
To achieve this it would help to have a common name, but may be use labels internally to differentiate change.
