I have a domain, let's say xyz and a subdomain mg.xyz (that I use Mailgun to send transactional emails).
While my Domain Reputation is high on the main domain xyz (I send emails via Google business suite) from that domain, my subdomain mg.xyz has low domain reputation, despite the fact that I only send transactional emails through Mailgun. One reason I could think of is that some transactional emails get sent to invalid inboxes (from misspelling). I have fixed that issue recently but don't see the Domain Reputation improve.
Do you have any suggestions on how to improve the domain reputation? My DKIM and SPF checks all pass (both 100% success rate) and I have DMARC in place too although it's saying 0% success rate for that.

Reset to default 0 +500Usually, a bad domain reputation can result from such rates as high spam complaints, frequent placement in spam directory, engagement and conversion, spam traps, unsubscription, bounce, or some issues with your mail server settings. If you want to fix a bad domain reputation, you should, at least, reduce the number of spam complaints, by making your emails relevant, and regularly remove inactive users. Your domain may also be blacklisted for the above-mentioned reasons.
One more thing. Google indexes and ranks subdomains separately from the main site. But subdomains can affect the SEO of the main domain. If a subdomain loses authority and traffic, it can negatively affect the overall reputation of the main one.
