I see some output is being displayed in red text, even though there are no errors or warnings. This makes it very difficult to distinguish between actual errors/warnings and normal output.
The issue persists across different R scripts, and I’m not sure if it’s a configuration problem or a bug.

Reset to default 2tl;dr you can make none of the output red, but in RStudio (so far) you can't turn off red for messages (which is what you're seeing here) while still printing warnings and errors in red ...
This has been discussed extensively here and here; lots of people agreed that having messages (such as those produced by install.packages()
) appear in the same red text that denotes warnings and errors is a bad idea, but the issue doesn't seem to have been touched in a few years. The one advance is that there is now an option to turn off the colours for all messages, warnings, and errors (see here: go to Tools > Global options > Console
and unclick the "Different color for error or message output" box)
