Pydev not showing up in Eclipse - Stack Overflow

programmeradmin0浏览0评论

I'm running eclipse 2025-3 on Ubuntu 24.04 installed through the snap store. I have installed pydev using the marketplace (as well as CDT) and noticed that the perspective, menu, and even the preference is nowhere to be found (also noticed that CDT icon on perspectives is missing). Am I missing something here?

  • 2 I wouldn't expect you to be able to modify a snap installation in this way and persist those changes properly. You could also be setting yourself up for problems if you ever want to update to a newer version of the same snap. eclipse./downloads/packages has tarballs you can unpack somewhere under your home directory and modify/add to as you see fit. – nitind Commented Mar 28 at 17:20
  • Can you open Help > About > Installation Details and show what's shown there? Is CDT/PyDev listed? If it is, please check the error log (Window > Show View and click on Other if necessary). – dan1st Commented Mar 30 at 8:01
  • Both CDT and pydev are listed and the error log shows nothing – deadpickle Commented Mar 31 at 21:14
