windows - Reset vscode configuration to default (specifically remote-ssh) - Stack Overflow

programmeradmin1浏览0评论

Having problems running vscode on a domain joined workstation and laptop with roaming profiles, specifically with regards to Remote-ssh.

Running the same on a non domain-joined laptop with the same OS build works fine.

Setup is windows 11 workstation\laptop remoting to ubuntu 24 server. Initial connection configuration works (mostly) fine but opening folders typically hangs indefinitely. Remote-ssh Output doesnn't show any errors. No prompts or notifications. Switching to a non domain client same server works without issue.

Using built in windows ssh client in all cases.

Tried 'user installer' and 'server installer'. Server installer seems to work but other issues relating to permissions and mismatching config files so not ideal.

Have tried various Remote-ssh config changes and problem persists.

Have cleared the .vscode and code folders (%appdata% and %userprofile%) in betwen re-installs but the problem still persists. Also cleared the vscode server / config on ubuntu. However as the non domain joined client works regardless, this seems to not be the issue.

Seems that there is some config somewhere that remains in between installs.

Is there a list of all locations where vscode may store configuration? Any suggestions on how best to proceed?
