I'm working on a site built with Astro and have integrated Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager (GTM). I’ve also set up OneTrust for cookie consent. GA fires only when the user allows performance cookies, which is working fine on my site.

However, in my Google Analytics account, I’m seeing this warning: "Your Google Tag code isn’t configured correctly, which may prevent your property from measuring automatic events. To fix this, place your Google Tag configuration code in the correct location on all pages that measure events."

I have configured GA correctly through GTM and placed the GTM script in the section (). I'm unsure why this warning is appearing.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? Any insights on what might be causing it or how to resolve it?

So that message has a lot of confusing logic behind it, which is why it's so ambiguous. It's a bit of a lazy implementation.

People have noticed it malfunctioning and then going away on its own without any actions taken.

Just to make sure you're good: check your tracking, make sure you see all the data you're supposed to see properly flowing in.
