you are my last chance!

I have a decent laptop, but I've noticed that some simple animations can freeze or lag in Chrome, while they run perfectly in Safari. Specifically, when I view this animation in full-screen mode in Chrome, the FPS sometimes drops to 16 FPS:

I checked chrome://gpu, and hardware acceleration is enabled. However, the issue persists. In Safari, everything is smooth.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on how to fix it?
