I am webmaster of a Wordpress site. A few days ago I uploaded some images to the media library and deleted some of them. Since then the features image dialog shows an empty image as first image and it is no longer possible to select a featured image to some of the post types, e.g. for the plugin logoslider or the team post type from the used wordpress theme. It is working for normal posts.
The empty image has no attachment details, no URL, nothing at all. Chosing any image from the dialog does not change the featured image in the post, it stays the same. There are no errors in the web console.
I have looked into the wp_posts table with post_type attachment, I have not seen anything strange there. Also there are no wp_postmeta entries where the post_id is invalid. I activated an SQL log of the database queries, however I could not see anything strange there either.
Has anyone an idea, how I can get rid of this entry so that the featured image dialog can be used again? Or an idea how I can discover where this empty entry is coming from?
