I have a lab environment with remote user computers running as virtual machines on vSphere ESXi. I want to add audio input and output to these VMs, but there is no option to add a sound card when editing the VM hardware settings.

I have checked the available devices, but sound card support does not appear in the list. I am looking for a way to enable audio for these virtual machines, whether through passthrough, software solutions, or any other method that allows remote users to use audio devices.
