excel - How Can I Find the Average of a "Count of" Grand Total Calculation in a Pivot Table - Stack Overflow

I've created a pivot table using this data (This is just a snippet of a larger sheet):

The idea behind this pivot table is to count how many people have received upgrades (the first column) per subdivision (the second column) per day (the third column). This is what the pivot table I've created looks like:

For clarity, this counts the number of entries in the "Upgrade Status" column, whether it's true or false. If it's true, it will have a date attached to it, which makes it show up under that date. Otherwise, it'll end up under "Upgrades Remaining". This is how I have my data set up currently to the best of my ability.

Now for the issue. Every date has a grand total value, as you can see by the sample data. I've been tasked with getting the average of that number, which is what I've been struggling with. For example, on 1/2/2025, a total of 10 phones were upgraded over 10 subdivisions. The average of that day would then be 1.

I've tried changing the "summarize values as" field to average, and it comes back with a "#DIV/0!" error. I believe this is because it's trying to gather the averages of the values "TRUE" and "FALSE" themselves instead of the count of how many there are.

I could refer to the cell itself where the grand total is per day and write a formula for the average by adding in all the cells above it, but this pivot table is very dynamic. There could be more subdivisions added in the future, and the days could go on and on for a while (but no longer than a month).

I believe I just have the pivot table set up incorrectly or inefficiently, but that's the goal. Get the average per day from the grand total dynamically (ideally part of the pivot table itself). Thank you
